You only need a handful of ingredients for these homemade crispy squares.
If you’ve not seen our limited-edition ruby chocolate flavoured Impact Whey Protein by now, you’ve been missing out. Smooth, rich, and sweet, it’s a delicious protein powder for your shakes and bakes.
Our kitchen queen @healthy_floflo has created the tastiest bite-sized treats for you to put to the test — made with just 4 ingredients (and completely optional food colouring for a finishing touch) they are perfect to combat cravings. Flo’s used a mould with small cubes to create lots of mini treats, but this recipe would work fine in a regular baking tray or container if you’d prefer bigger bars.
They’re great for on the go for a protein boost throughout the day.
Makes 16 squares
Ingredients
- 100 g white chocolate
- 50 g rice crispies
- ¾ scoop Impact Whey Protein (Ruby Chocolate)
- 2-3 drops pink food colouring (optional)
- To garnish: freeze-dried raspberries (optional)
Instructions
First, melt the chocolate by warming in 30 second intervals in the microwave and then stirring. Add the ruby chocolate protein powder and pink food colouring if using, mixing until smooth and combined.
Add the rice crispies and mix through to evenly combine.
Prepare the mould with a sprinkle of freeze-dried raspberries in each well and then add the rice crispy mixture, packing it in and smoothing with the back of a teaspoon.
Chill in the fridge for 1 hour (or freezer for 15 minutes) and then enjoy! The perfect sweet, crunchy treat.
