Nice taste, weird texture
4This Casein is really nice tasting, I had the chocolate flavour. It also seems to work well and I’m not as sore from a workout when I use this! BUT, it has a really weird texture that makes me not like it, it’s kind of grainy/chalky but unfortunately that does put me off it Goes Well With:Oat Milk, Water

Much better than expected
4I ordered this before reading some of the bad reviews, so instantly regretted my purchase because I thought it was going to be terrible. I've tried it this evening and it's actually really tasty, I don't know what people are complaining about. It tastes nice (I ordered the chocolate one), which I wasn't expecting. There is a slight chalky/sediment texture as you get towards the bottom of the drink, but I mixed this with milk and it was lovely. It absolutely doesn't mix well with hot drinks though, so whoever suggested that in the reviews must have some chunky drinks normally. Goes Well With:Milk and Sleep

Great taste, but...
4The taste of the shake is great, when mixed with half water half milk it tastes like a strawberry milkshake. However it leaves a weird flour/chalky texture on your teeth. Also wasnt impressed that the bag was partly split and the rest of my delivery was covered in the powder on arrival!Goes Well With:Milk and Water

Not for water shake, but overall highly recommend
5I bought the unflavoured version; first time ever trying casein. Reading the comments, I agree that the texture (and taste) is cardboard-like, so I don't like it simply mixed with water, nor milk, but if you are open-minded about it, there are plenty of ways to make great use of it. If I do want it as a drink, I use it about 30/70 with Whey. The texture reminds of vegan protein (not Myprotein, I haven't tried theirs, another brand). Generally, I would not recommend it for low-calorie meals, except if you don't want to be a little creative with it. But, I personally, do still use it for simple high volume, low-calorie meals such as soups (e.g. spinach/pumpkin soup with chicken bites within, spices etc.), but just don't expect it to taste anything more than ''I'm hungry and I don't bother too much to indulge in this meal; I will eat this and go back to work''. For low-calorie meals, it is a matter of ratio with other foods. I usually like to use it with 10% cream. For example, I like to leave oat flour+water for at least 24h in the fridge, then add casein and a little bit of cream, to make a really creamy - both taste and consistency (+drops/fruits, whatever you fancy). Another idea would be mixing 10% cream, casein, coconut shreds and sweetener, and it tastes like Raffaello. Even only cream and casein (+sweetener) make a really delicious cookie dough. I have not tried to bake with it, but I imagine it would also work excellent. There are actually a variety of ways to enjoy it (even regardless of your diet restrictions). I bought the 2,5kg bag, and I do not regret it. I would definitely recommend this product, especially the unflavoured version, because it is so versatile.Goes Well With:10% cream, soups, jam, fruit, fats, oven

Excellent casein!
5I got this with the 45% offer and wow this is superb. Mixability is fine of you do it the right way, add liquid slowly and mix into a paste and then add more liquid as it mixed. It would be fine just to whack it in a shaker and dump all the liquid in, but above is how I do it. Here is a dessert method I use to create 'Caramac Protein Pudding' 30g unflavoured casein 15g caramel impact whey 100g/ml skimmed milk Mix altogether to make a paste, then leave it in the fridge for 15 minutes or longer. Take it out and put 15g of squirty cream on... Caramel protein pudding with the best of both worlds (casein and whey). It's superb Goes Well With:Flavour drops Whey protein

4Good product mixes well helps recovery. However strawberry flavour to me is pretty rank. Should have picked a different flavour
