Inedible
1Totally inedible, very strong chemical taste. Money wasted.

Very good vegan protein option
5In my process of moving away from animal products I swapped to soy protein from whey around four months ago and have been pretty happy with this product since then. The texture and flavour are not quite to the standard of the whey option, but if you use a higher water to powder ratio the texture is fine (I used to use 90-100g of whey in a shake, with soy I use 50-60g only). And the flavours are also just fine once you get used to the change. I also find that I generally feel better after these shakes. With whey shakes I would always feel a bit bloated after consuming them, which doesn't happen with soy shakes.

Honest Review: Mixability
3Listen. As an actual way to get your protein in, particularly if whey gives you a stomach ache and you feel weird about overeating meat: this is brilliant. I'll be honest and say I don't really order this for the taste. But none of them taste bad, the protein itself is pretty good and definitely tastes way better (to me) than whey. I do however really value mixability. I have ordered this before and loved it, and my current version I dislike for mixability reasons. I think I ordered the V2 unflavoured twice, and the first batch was: smooth, mixed well to a custard like consistency, and if you did it right, by mixing with cold water/milk first, it was easy to mix with hot substances (think porridge or even hot milk/water). It had a nice very subtle taste, if you like the taste of soy. Which I really do! My current version, which I reordered without a moment's hesitation, is clumpy, falls apart in everything, with bits floating around if I try to mix it with hot. Consistency is not good. Taste is meh, but then it's not that nice eating something that's clumpy or has hard bits floating around. The only thing that has worked with it so far was when I mixed it (thoroughly) into a baked good. Quick note on taste: I have ordered matcha and that's a bit bland and sweet, but it mixed pretty well and it was alright / drinkable. I have also ordered the chocolate and it was similar, for me, but overall ok. Again, we're not ordering this for the taste, so if anything I would rather it be a bit bland so I can add stuff to it if needs be. Conclusion: Batches tend to be inconsistent in terms of actual mixability/quality, with some batches (no matter what you order) being clumpy. Maybe because they're a bit stale? I don't blame MyProtein for this and I won't stop ordering unless my next (few?) batches are also clumpy and stale. Goes Well With:Milk of choice, porridge, mixed into a baked good.

unfortunately a NO
2I am not vegan but I prefer to consume less dairy products. Therefore I was happy to find this protein powder, being CHEAPER than the dairy whey alternative! So I purchased the vanilla and salted caramel flavours (why did I buy 2 right off the bat!?). Unfortunately I am not a fan of the taste of these soy proteins, the artificial flavour is through the roof, more so than the whey proteins. The texture is also not great, it is very chalky in my opinion and not very good to mix. I tried in porridge too but ended up wasting my breakfast because it was not nice. This is a shame!

Awful taste, doesn't mix
1Mixability is a 0. Chalky texture, thick and clumpy with the chocolate v2 flavour being disgusting flavour wise. Avoid this at all costs.

Solid Vegan Protein Option
4Grateful that there is an unflavoured option so I can use it for both sweet and savoury recipes. The texture is nice but it can be a bit clumpy sometimes.

4Initially didn’t like the taste but after a few I was fine. Mixes well in the shaker and does what is needed, I’ve just run out and ordered more of the same!

Soy protein
5Found out I was dairy protein intolerant so this was suggested. More protein per serving than the whey protein I was using and just as good. Highly recommend. Goes Well With:Oat, Almond, coconut milk or just water is good enough.
