Tastes like clay
1I don’t know who is buying this but if you’re trying something new THIS IS NOT IT! Firstly it doesn't mix well with water or milk, it leaves a bit of powder at the bottom of your protein even with the mixing ball, secondly the taste is dreadful it tastes like how clay smells and leave a really bad taste in your mouth it also doesn’t dissolve properly

Add Toffee FlavDrops
4I prepare myself to taste a new vegan protein by imagining the most disgusting thing I could drink. That way it shouldn’t taste too bad. Sadly this by itself is a let down. It’s bitter with little flavour. On sale for a reason. But! Teamed with the faithful FlavDrops/SF syrup takes it from 2/10 up to 7/10. Definitely drinkable. Good vegan protein. Wean yourself into it as can get your stomach overexcited. Goes Well With:FlavDrops Sf syrup Soya milk Oats

Unflavoured. Play around with it.
4This isn’t a powder that tastes great with just soya milk. Despite it being unflavoured, it’s pea flavoured. You need to play about until you find it palatable. I’d recommend buying MP FlavDrops, Toffee or Vanilla work nicely. The sugar free syrups would also work well, especially Raspberry. I like it with porridge. Microwaved with the oats and soya for extra protein. I’d recommend starting with 15 g for a few days until your stomach gets used to this protein. Gets digestion moving a bit too well, best to wean on to it… Scoop doesn’t match directions. 1/3 is 30g portion. Essentially, it’s a very good protein addition to a Vegan diet. 20g per 30g scoop. I’d definitely recommend this product provided you’re happy to add flavour. Goes Well With:FlavDrops Oats Sugar free syrup

Yacky!
1I purchased the Vegan protein as my normal product wasn’t in stock, and following an online chat with My Protein staff, was not able to be given a date when my regular product would be back in. Therefore, I thought I’d give the Vegan protein a go. Now I struggle to get hold of protein that is gluten free however, this seemed like the best alternative. I normally use my protein powder in with food ie with Greek yog and almond milk or use in my breakfast when I have overnight oats. Well, yesterday I was mixing my protein into my Greek yogurt (to have this evening as my last meal), I had to stir and stir and stir to get it to mix…could have done with a cement mixer. Also, I had to use so much more almond milk than normal and reduce the amount of protein I normally use, to get it to a half decent consistency, (which defeats the object when you’re on a strict diet plan and need to weigh everything out precisely). Then there was the look of it! It resembled poly-filler! In fact, if you put a bowl of the vegan protein and poly-filler side by side, it’d be hard work distinguishing between the two. I am yet to taste it in the Greek yoghurt…but to be honest, I’m not looking forward to it! I did make myself overnight oats with the vegan protein last night and again…needed sooooo much more fluid. Instead of adding double milk, I added water (avoid extra calories). Now to the taste…OH MY GOODNESS! It was bland and was the most vile texture in my mouth. I can only describe it as eating moist, sticky, clumpy sandy-sawdust! I literally had to swallow each mouthful down with a sip of water as the whole experience in my mouth was horrendous. On a couple of occasions I thought it might reappear 🤢 So how wrong was I when I thought Vegan protein would be a good substitute for my normal protein?! Never again. Goes Well With:A bin liner.

Vegan Protein Blend
5I have been using the Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel vegan protein mix recently and it is delicious. Previously I only used impact whey, however, after trying it out I will never return, vegan all the way. From its taste to its mixing it is faultless, you don’t get clumps in shakes and mixing it into porridge or yoghurt is perfect. Unlike other proteins, it doesn’t have a rubbery texture when mixed into porridge, or a synthetic flavour.Goes Well With:Oats Yoghurt Water/milk in shakes Pancakes
